HOPE’s mission is twofold. Firstly it campaigns to have the number of adults with the combination of autism and learning disabilities recognised and better supported by local authorities. Secondly, it works with local authorities and local businesses to establish supportive employment through social enterprises that combat the economic and social problems arising from exclusion.
To meet these goals, HOPE has developed award-winning work experience programmes that ease the transition to adulthood for young people with autism and learning disabilities.
Initially HOPE is focused on establishing social enterprises in the Derbyshire area, but is committed to working with like-minded charities and organisations across the country to help them deliver at a local level.

HOPE is a UK charity that champions and supports adults with the combination of autism and learning disabilities. HOPE’s mission is to help shape and create a future where they can make a positive contribution to the workforce and to their community. HOPE wants to see people with autism and learning disabilities integrated into society so that they can lead fulfilling lives and live as independently as possible.
